This solar ad ran in our local paper
in 1981. For nearly 30 years we 
fought the lies of our monopoly
utility companies who told our 
prospective customers solar was
not a "cost-effective" purchase 
for them, compared to their cheap 
energy.  (in California with over
300 quality solar days a year???)

For 3 decades we fought the subsidies
given big oil, big gas, "clean" coal and 
"safe" nuclear, while we in the alternative
energy business begged for credits and 
rebates to help off-set the slightly higher
cost of solar generation and other safe
and effective methods of producing 
energy for our planet. 

Thirty years ago we were telling our 
conservation and solar customers
one day we'd be trading American
blood for foreign oil.  Only a few 
thousand actually listened and took
responsibility for their own families
carbon footprints.

Some, paid shills for these big oil & gas
industries will never listen. God help us.
Many are mislead by this conversation
domination and social media machine..
