I have heard that the cost is $1BB per project for nuclear energy.
I do not promote solar to steam, but thermal and tidal, if they are
well designed, can be thoroughly useable.
Yes photo-voltaic will be more efficient and cheaper. But right now is
the time to start. 20 years is a good current lifetime, and we use
24-7 monitors to catch problems in real time, which are infrequent.
Not a golden bullet, but a silver one perhaps. And getting better.
